Moments ago, UFC President released an angry Twitter message, saying that Karo Parisyan will not be fighting this weekend at UFC 106, or ever again for the organization.
"Karo Parisyan has fucked over the UFC, the fans and his opponent again!!!" wrote White. "He will not be fighting saturday or ever again in the UFC!!"
Parisyan (9-3, 1 NC UFC) was set to fight Dustin Hazelett in two days, on Nov. 21 at UFC 106: "Ortiz vs. Griffin 2."
In a second Twitter update, White wrote:
"Pulled out of the fight the day before weigh ins again with a laundry list of excuses!!! Let the press ask karo why! Let him explain."
The reasons for Parisyan's withdrawal are still unknown at this time. However, Sports Illustrated's Josh Gross confirmed with Parisyan via text message that he will not be fighting on Saturday. Parisyan did not answer any further questions.
However, White also recently revealed that "Dustin will be paid his full purse to show and win. Its not his fault."
Hazelett spoke to MMAJunkie.com after the news of the fight cancellation had been broken by White via Twitter.
"They said I'll get my show and win money, which is just really cool of them," Hazelett told MMAJunkie.com. "They didn't have to do that, pay the win money, too. But they did, and it's great."
