Dana White On Andrei Arlovski: "He'll probably fight in a couple months"
by FiveKnuckles.com Staff on December 31, 2007

Andrei Arlovski has been in fight limbo for nearly nine months. Since defeating Frabricio Werdum at UFC , Arlovski, who has one fight remaining on his current UFC contract and has been reluctant to renegotiate before his deal runs out, has seemingly been 'slide under the rug' by the UFC in a move that has become common practice for the promotion when it comes to dealing with fighters who wish to become free agents. And what may be seen as good buisness practice by the UFC can be construed as bad for fans of the popular Belarusian fighter who have waited nearly nine months since seeing the former heavyweight champion in the cage.

That wait, however, may be over soon. During Saturday's post UFC 79 press conference Dana White briefly addressed the situation.

“We’re talking to (Arlovski) right now,” said White. “He’ll probably fight in a couple months.“

No word yet on an opponent or the specific event at which he'll take part.
