Dana White says Junior dos Santos vs. Mark Hunt is a no go
by Hubert Lau on April 14, 2012

Despite all the fanfare and support, Dana White says that Mark Hunt will not fight Junior dos Santos at UFC 146 no matter how Overeem's failed drug test plays out according to mmamania.com.

"They can keep rallying. It ain't going to happen," White said.

White went on to say that Hunt might be matched up with a top five heavyweight if he can get pass his original opponent, Stefan Struve, at UFC 146.

With a three fight win streak to rebound from a six straight losses, Hunt practically wrote himself a Rocky-like comeback that was just missing a title shot.

When Overeem failed his drug test earlier this month and placed the main event at UFC 146 in jeopardy, Hunt was among the names put forth as the man to replace him. Social networking such as Twitter was flooded with MMA fans supporting a fight between Hunt and dos Santos.

Well it is apparent now that Hunt won't be receiving the title shot regardless of how the Overeem fiasco turns out but if he is able to keep his win streak going, Hunt could very well meet dos Santos down the road.

GO HARD: no duh. lmao but i still love the movement!! q; D nygiant: I don't know if anyone has had dreams like this but Hunt reminds me of the guy in my dream that has no talent and I'm punching and kicking relentlessly but just won't go down Cryptic_Soldier: Sometimes I'm the guy with no talent getting my a$$ kicked all night... those dreams suck. arlovskiviako: LOL, I know those dreams, I don't feel like I'm under water though, I hit them and looking at the shot you would think it would take their head off, but it doesn't hurt them at all, I can hit them as hard as I swing and they keep coming, I hate that. Wandering_Minstrel: I'd still pick Hunt. :D
