Dana White to reveal FOX debut fight card tomorrow
by Mike Olenski on September 01, 2011

Cyberland has brought us the ultimate teaser.

For weeks now speculation on who would be paired for the FOX TV broadcast on November 12 has been flowing. Names like Machida, Lesnar, Rua, and Silva (multiple Silva's at first) have been tossed around with many different opponents.

Anderson Silva was quickly eliminated by Uncle Dana, but there are a couple other Silva's.

The time at which this announcement will be made is 1pm ET. No report on what outlet the announcement will come via. Nothing better than an "announcement" that there will be an "announcement" to get the blood flowing.

 |  (126) Comments illegalpoke: Nice. Can't wait. Lay'n'PrayNINJA: Predictions? Brock Lensar vs Mir or Carwin Shogun Machida seedheadondatrak: Ben Henderson vs Clay Guida for the #1 Contendership?? Big Nog vs Mir?????????????? Lay'n'PrayNINJA: Ariel Helwani just tweeted that Dana said Overeem is not signed "yet", so it is unlikely he will be on the FOX card. However, GG has said they are very close to being done with the contracts, and that Overeem is OFF the Glory United card in October, so the REEM is coming soon!!! Giada Esposito: I predict... Brock vs. Overeem. Big Nog vs. Mir. I can't wait for this! Should be sweeeeeet! :) TGroves: Cain for the win. I personally think he takes JDS rather easily. The first round will be close but then JDS will start to tire and we all know that doesn't happen with Cain. GO HARD: buuuuut anything can happen. JDS could KO Cain. Lay'n'PrayNINJA: JDS by the end of the third. We have seen Cain get wobbled by a lesser striker. JDS will pounce if he clips Cain. illegalpoke: The fight of the year. On Fox. Whoa. illegalpoke: The only thing that worries me about this is... how in the world do you top that? Lay'n'PrayNINJA: That makes for TWO title fights on free* TV counting the Cruz/Mouse fight on Versus!!!! Within 5 weeks of eachother. Woot Woot! Lay'n'PrayNINJA: Rumors abundant that we might see Anderson on the card a week later (the one JDS/Cain were supposed to be on).... Not sure who he could possibly fight at MW...which makes it even more intriguing. Cryptic_Soldier: WOW... I get to miss an epic fight... anyone know if this will be broadcast in the greater arab nations? like on OSN or Fox sports middle east? PLZ HELP ME!!! Lay'n'PrayNINJA: I could see Anderson taking a 205 fight with Shogun/Hendo...and I would get a mild chubby. :) SicJits: I dont need to see Silva fight Hendo again, but the gun is another story:D;) Ceelarence: I would LOVE the Shogun fight. Would I be able to watch it? Hell no. Id watch it after I knew the result tho Ceelarence: Ive still got Shogun winning that fight tho. Lay'n'PrayNINJA: Calm down guys.... :-D Wandering_Minstrel: I'd like to see Overeem vs Mir. I think it would be a good fight to see where Reem stands in the UFC Heavyweight division. Plus, who doesn't love seeing Mir getting punched in the face? :D Cryptic_Soldier: Why catch weight when both are easily 205ers. Lay'n'PrayNINJA: Also, if you have issues with guys cutting 25 pounds to make weight, and dominate a division, that issue should be directed at GSP, as he is TRULY cutting from 195 to 170 in 4 days, and is then back over 190 to fight. MUCH more than Anderson has ever cut for 185. :D That is factual and GSP and his coaches are on record talking about that massive cut. seedheadondatrak: ppl always give Silva a hard time, saying "he's using a size advantage fighting at MW", but i dont really see where he's using a "size advantage". Its not like he's wrestling any of his opponents down and controlling them for the UD or sitting on top of them using brutal GnP like Brock. IwishIwasMMA: What does it matter kiddos? Cutting weight is one of the major things in combat sports. If you dont cut weight, then you are at a disadvantage. If you do, you do it right or you are at a disadvantage. And this whole "same weight" thing is ridiculous too. I dont need 42 weight classes to tell me which guy should be champion at 162 and the other guy at 165, and then another guy at 168.5.. plus it splits up the competition too much
