With the completion of UFC 109's main card today, the UFC also revealed all six bouts for the event's un-aired preliminary card.
The additions include four previously reported match ups which include middleweights Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller, lightweights Ronnys Torres vs. Melvin Guillard, lightweights Phillipe Nover vs. Rob Emerson and heavyweights Rolles Gracie vs. Mostapha Al-Turk.
Also, two new match ups were unveiled including lightweight Mac Danzig vs. Justin Buchholz and heavyweights Tim Hague vs. Chris Tuchscherer.
Danzig (18-7-1) will be fighting to keep his job with the UFC, as The Ultimate Fighter 6 winner has lost three-straight fights against the likes of Clay Guida, Josh Neer and most recently Jim Miller at UFC 100 in July. Prior to the string of losses, he won his first two UFC bouts, defeating Tommy Speer to win the The Ultimate Fighter 6 in his official UFC debut and then Mark Bocek.
Buchholz (8-4) is also in a must win situation as he has lost back-to-back fights inside the Octagon against Terry Etim and in his most recent fight against Jeremy Stephens at UFC Fight Night 19 in September. He sports a 1-3 UFC record, losing to Matt Wiman in his UFC debut and then defeating TUF 5 cast member Corey Hill.
Tushscherer (17-2) is coming off a loss in his UFC debut, as he suffered a first round TKO loss against Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 102 in August. He suffered a brutal low blow from Gonzaga in the bout and never fully recovered which ultimately led to the TKO loss. The Minnesota Martial Arts Academy product won three-straight fights prior to joining the UFC.
Hague (10-2) most recently suffered a record seven-second knockout loss at the hands of Todd Duffee also at August's UFC 102 event. Prior to the loss, the longtime King of the Cage veteran won five-straight fights, which included a win in his UFC debut against Pat Barry.
The newly announced UFC 109 event is set for Feb. 6 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV and is headlined by a light-heavyweight bout between UFC Hall-of-Famers Randy Couture and Mark Coleman.
