UFC veteran Eddie Sanchez will meet EliteXC veteran Dave Herman in a heavyweight bout set for the as yet unannounced Bellator Fighting Championship event on June 19 in Florida. The news comes courtesy of FiveOuncesOfPain.com.
Dave “Pee Wee” Herman is coming off a win over Josh Barnes at Bellator FC 5 earlier this month. Herman sports an impressive 14-1 MMA record, with his lone loss to Mu Bae Choi at Sengoku 7: "No Ran 2009" in January. Herman trained on his own for his first 13 fights by "just lifting weights, staying in shape and conditioning", however, Herman recently began training at a professional MMA gym following his loss to Choi.
Eddie Sanchez is fresh off a knock out victory over Jay White at Bellator 7 last week. Prior to his that fight, Sanchez went 4-3 with the UFC and was released following two-staight losses to Antoni Hardonk at UFC 85 and Justin McCully at UFN 16 respectively.
