Dennis Siver (18-7) and Matt Wiman (13-5) are scheduled to meet at UFC 132, the UFC announced earlier this morning.
UFC 132 will take place on July 2nd in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was not announced where the bout will be on the card, but given the two fighters impressive win streaks it will most likely be shown during the pay-per-view broadcast.
The German Siver will enter the fight on a three fight win streak, including an impressive dismantling of George Sotiropoulos at UFC 127. The win marked Siver's seventh in his last eight fights. In the fight with Sotiropoulos, Siver showed much improved takedown defense as he was able to keep the fight standing for all three rounds. His kickboxing gave the Australian fits, as he rocked him twice in the first round.
Another surging lightweight, Wiman, has also won three fights in a row. His last performance was a complete domination of Cole Miller at UFC Fight Night 23. Wiman had Miller rocked multiple times and was able to nullify his Jiu-Jitsu during the three round affair. It was his seventh win in his past nine fights.
UFC 132 is currently scheduled for a main event between B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch in a rematch of their UFC 127 bout that ended in a draw.
