Light-heavyweights Eliot Marshall and Jason Brilz will look to stay unbeaten inside the octagon when they meet at UFC 103, this according to FiveOuncesOfPain.
Marshall is on a two fight win steak, with his most recent coming against fellow TUF 8 cast member Vinny Magalhaes at UFC 97 in April. Prior to UFC 97, he defeated Jules Bruchez in his official UFC debut at TUF 8 finale last December. The longtime Ring of Fire veteran holds a near perfect professional record of 7-1, with 5 wins coming by way of submission and 1 via TKO. He suffered his only career loss against former UFC fighter Rob MacDonald at ROF 31 in December of 2007.
Brilz hasn't lost in his last 13 bouts, which includes wins in his first two fights in the UFC over Brad Morris and most recently Tim Boetsch at UFC 96 in March. The last time Brilz tasted defeated was nearly 8 years ago when he suffered his only career loss against Vince Feilds in September 2001. He currently stands at 17-1-1, with 14 wins coming by way of stoppage and holds notable wins over UFC veterans Michael Patt, Jason MacDonald and Alex Schoenauer.
UFC 103 will take place on September 19 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The newly announced main event will be a rematch between Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin; Henderson defeated Franklin in their first bout at UFC 93 back in January.
Also featured will be an explosive heavyweight bout between newly signed Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic and fast rising prospect Junior Dos Santos as well as a welterweight title shot eliminator between Martin Kampmann and Mike Swick.
