It's safe to say that EliteXC with Kimbo Slice is quite a different draw than without him. The card with Slice drew nearly twice as many viewers as the card without him.

CBS did very will in the first show with the 18-49 and 18-34 demographics scoring 4.3 million viewers and a 1.9/6 rating among 18-49 year olds.

Their encore show wasn't nearly as successful, taking in only 2.62 million viewers and a 1.0/3 rating.

It's too early to say what this means for EliteXC on CBS and there is hope on the horizon with Kimbo and Gina Corano expected to provide some star power at the next CBS/EliteXC event set for Oct. 4. However, should EliteXC falter in the next event with it's headliners in place there could be problems for the organization on the horizon. The next show will go a long way toward determining the future of the organization and quite possibly the future of the sport on network television.
