Evan Dunham vs. George Sotiropoulos planned for UFC 132
by Tim Groves on March 16, 2011

Evan Dunham (11-2) will take on George Sotiropoulos (14-3) at UFC 132, the UFC announced via Twitter.

The card is planned for July 2nd in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The UFC did not say where the bout will be placed, but it will most likely end up being shown on the main card.

Dunham is coming off of two straight losses to Melvin Guillard and Sean Sherk. The Sherk fight was highly controversial, as many saw Dunham winning the fight with his superior striking and numerous submission attempts. The UFC treated it like a win for Dunham and placed him in the main event of UFC Fight Night 23. Guillard TKO'ed the young fighter in the first round.

The Australian Sotiropoulos will be fighting after his first loss in the UFC. He was defeated by Dennis Siver at UFC 127 via unanimous decision. The Jiu-Jitsu wizard was unable to take down Siver and was soundly out struck for three rounds. He had been on an eight fight win streak.
