Fedor Emelianenko looks to returning to fighting this Fall, competing under M-1 Global in an event in Russia according to fightersonlymagazine.co.uk.
"We have already reached all the necessary agreements on his fight," Vadim Finkelstein, Emelianenko's manager, said.
Emelianenko's opponent in his return is currently unannounced. However Finkelstein have mentioned in the past that a rematch with Kevin Randleman as a fight of interest. Former UFC heavyweights, Gabriel Gonzaga and Jeff Monson, were additional names recently tied with Emelianenko's upcoming fight.
Emelianenko will look to halt his downhill spiral against whoever he faces in this upcoming M-1 event, with the outcome possibly dictating Emelianenko's future in MMA. The lack of motivation, family issues, among other issues has been pointed to as the source of his decline.
Emelianenko has dropped three consecutive fights after being undefeated for a nearly decade prior to those string of defeats to Dan Henderson, Antonio Silva and Fabricio Werdum.
Emelianenko's last win dates back to late 2009 where he knocked out up-and-comer, Brett Rogers, in the second round after a competitive opening stanza that had Emelianenko bruised and bloodied.
