Tonight's card is coming to you live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and features a heavyweight title unification bout between champion Brock Lesnar and interim champ Shane Carwin. Also featured on the card is master judoka Yoshihiro Akiyama as he takes on the relentless Chris "The Crippler" Leben.

Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Chris Leben - Leben wins by submission (triangle) at 4:40 of round 3.
Chris Lytle vs. Matt Brown - Lytle wins by submission (armbar) at 2:02 of round 2.
Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski _ Bonnar wins by TKO (punches) at 3:08 of round 2.
George Sotiropoulos vs. Kurt Pellegrino - Sotiropoulos wins by unanimous decision.
Brendan Schaub vs. Chris Tuchscherer - Schaub wins by TKO (punches) at 1:07 of round 1.

UFC 116 Main Card Blow-By-Blow:

George Sotiropoulos vs. Kurt Pellegrino


Round 1 - The main card begins with with some early exchanges. Pellegrino lands a nice leg kick and Sotiropoulos answers with a stiff jab. Sotiropoulos lands a nice combination and Pellegrino is hurt and goes down. Sotiropoulos looks for a choke but Batman recovers and scrambles to his feet. Pellegrino comes back quickly with a nice right. Sotiropoulos lands a left hook that appears to stun Pellegrino so Pellegrino shoots and gets Sotiropoulos down. He does no damage and Sotiropoulos is up. Sotiropoulos lands another hook and Pellegrino takes him down again and lands in his dangerous guard. Pellegrino lands a nice punch but Sotiropoulos controls him for the duration of the round. We're scoring 10-9 for the Aussie.


Round 2 - Pellegrino starts the round with a hook of his own. He throws a kick and Sotiropoulos catches it, scoring the takedown. Pellegrino gets him to half guard as Sotiropoulos looks to pass. Pellegrino gains full guard momentarily but ends up back in half guard where he drops some elbows. This is a war on the ground but Pellegrino is taking some punishment. They scramble and Pellegrino gets his back to the cage where he's able to work to his feet. Sotiropoulos looks for  slam but Pellegrino's wrestling base won't allow it. They break with 30 seconds remaining and Sotiropoulos lands a left hook and soft head kick. Pellegrino lands a knee to...
