According to a passage from Frank Shamrock's blog, he could see action as early as December. An opponent has not been named nor has an official date, but Shamrock says he's began training in anticipation of a December match up.

"I started training," stated Shamrock. "I'm doing weights and cardio daily. Had to give up the beer too until my next fight. Word is I'll be fighting in December so stay tuned."

Shamrock is 23-10-2 in his mixed martial arts career but currently on a two-fight skid with losses to Cung Le and most recently Nick Diaz. In fact, the last time he tasted victory was against Phil Baroni over two years ago at Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Baroni.

Shamrock was the first ever to hold the UFC middleweight championship which was later renamed the UFC light-heavyweight championship. He left the UFC as the five-time defending undefeated champion.
