With WEC 41 less then a week away, the promotion's August 9 event has added a featherweight bout between Fredson Paixao vs. Cole Province, according to MMAjunkie.com.
Fredson Paixao is coming off a loss in his WEC debut against former IFL featherweight champ Wagnney Fabiano at WEC 40. Prior to this loss, Paixao hadn't competed in nearly two years since defeating Thomas Denny in 2007. Jungle Fight veteran, Paixao, also holds notable victories over Rani Yahya and Masakazu Imanari.
Cole Province is also coming off a defeat in his WEC debut, suffering his first career loss to Diego Nunes at WEC 37. Four of Province's 5 career wins have come by way of submission.
WEC 42 is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas and will be headlined by a bantamweight title fight between currecnt champ Miguel Torres and undefeated top contender Brian Bowles.
