The UFC announced today the complete fight card for UFC 105: "Couture vs. Vera". The event takes place on Nov. 14 at the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England and the main card will air the same day via tape day delay in North America on Spike TV.
UFC 105 is the first event for the promotion in Nov. as UFC 106 takes place seven days later on Nov. 21 in Las Vegas, NV.
In the main event, former UFC heavyweight and light-heavyweight champ Randy Couture will take on rising light-heavyweight contender Brandon Vera. In addition, UK's own Michael Bisping will face former Pride and Spirit MC standout, Denis Kang, in the evening's co-featured bout.
Also confirmed for the main card is a crucial welterweight bout between Mike Swick and Dan Hardy, with the winner possibly getting a shot against UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre. Swick stepped in for the injured Dong Hyun Kim earlier this week.
Rounding out the main card, TUF 9 winner James Wilks and Ross Pearson will both be in action for the first time since June. Wilks will meet Matt Brown and Pearson will take on Aaron Riley.
Preliminary card bouts confirmed by the UFC for the event including Terry Etim vs. Shannon Gugerty, John Hathaway vs. Paul Taylor, Nick Osipczak vs. Matt Riddle, Alexander Gustafsson vs. Jared Hamman and Roli Delgado vs. Andre Winner.
Missing from the preliminary card is a previously reported welterweight bout between "TUF 9" welterweight runner-up DaMarques Johnson and Peter Sobotta. The bout was reportedly scrapped from the event after Sobotta was forced off the card due to military commitments. Johnson will be moved to another UFC event.
