Gina Carano contemplates her future and is unsure if she would return to MMA according to mmaweekly.com.
"I don't know actually. I'm somewhere floating around in the world between acting and fighting," Carano said.
Despite not competing for over two years, Carano still remains one of the most popular female mixed martial artists in the world. Her last fight was a TKO defeat to Cristiane Santos in mid-2009, who was recently stripped of her Strikeforce women's featherweight title due to steroid use.
Carano was speculated to make her MMA return at Strikeforce: Dallas against Sarah D'Alelio in 2011 but pulled out of that bout last minute at the advisement of her personal doctor.
Strikeforce CEO, Scott Coker, have said on numerous occasions that he believes Carano will compete once again despite Carano's uncertainty.
"I don't feel like you have to make a decision right now. So I'm waiting till I definitely know the right answer in my heart," Carano said.
Carano is set to star in the upcoming action-thriller, Haywire. If the movie is a box office hit, it would be hard to see Carano return to the cage as she pursues an acting career instead.
