Mixed martial artists Gleison Tibau is set to make his second "fill-in" for the UFC. This time Tibau will replace Thiago Tavares and fight Melvin Guillard at the Ultimate Fighter Finale in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tibau is a natural welterweight but will drop to lightweight, where he will have a slight size advantage over Guillard.
"I completely changed my preparation," Tibau told MMAJunkie. "I've got a new conditioning coach, and I plan on doing a better job. I'm starting 2009 in very good shape, and I'm going to be very aggressive and fast."
Tibau is coming off a recent win over Jeremy Stephens at Ultimate Fight Night 18. The Ultimate Fighter Finale 9 will be his second event in the early 2009 season.
