Hermes Franca arrested in Oregon on seven counts of sexual abuse

Former WEC lightweight champion and UFC lightweight title contender Hermes Franca will put his MMA career on hold after turning himself in to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office in Oregon.

Franca was charged with seven counts of Sexual Abuse and two counts of Unlawful Sexual Penetration. Each count will require a mandatory minimum sentence six years and three months if he is found guilty. The trial is set for July 12, 2011 and his bail was set at $250,000.

In addition, Franca has been released by the promotion MFC (Maximum Fighting Championship) by President Mark Pavelich. He was scheduled to meet fellow UFC vet Drew Ficket on June 10 for MFC 30: Up Close & Personal.

If this is a minor we are talking about, Franca needs to just be shot in the head at his trial to save the tax dollars that would be spent on him. Even if its not a minor, he still needs to die. No good can come of this man continuing to have a place among the living. TGroves: I thought I read that Franca found about the news while in Brazil, flew up to Oregon to turn himself in and then pleaded not guilty. I mean that doesn't really sound like a man who is guilty. He could have easily stayed in Brazil. Of course I may have just misread the whole thing. But seven is a lot. And WTF does unlawful sexual penetration entail? Anal? That is technically unlawful in alot of states even if it's consensual.
