Jake Ellenberger apparently doesn't think highly of UFC welterweight contender, Nick Diaz. "The Juggernaut" calls for a fight with the Stockton native as well as predicting Diaz to be dominated in his upcoming bout with George St. Pierre according to bloodyelbow.com.
"He likes to run his mouth, I don't get him. He just likes to talk and he is what he is. He's gonna get his coming against GSP. GSP's motivated, I don't see what Nick's going to bring to the table. Jake Shields was a more difficult fight for GSP," Ellenberger said.
Diaz is currently scheduled to meet St. Pierre at UFC 143 after battering BJ Penn at UFC 137 en route to a unanimous decision victory. St. Pierre will be looking to defend his UFC welterweight title for the seventh time.
"GSP's a lot faster than Diaz, Diaz has no power, he's not going to knock him out. He should have finished BJ and he couldn't even do that," Ellenberger added.
Ellenberger also relishes at the idea of a fight with Diaz in the future, positive that he can put away Diaz if the two fought.
"His slap-box game... I would like to fight Diaz. Ideally I'd love to fight Diaz, his little patty-cake game he plays, man if he played that with me I'd put him down for sure, 100 per cent. If you did that where I come from, you get your ass whooped," Ellenberger said.
Ellenberger is one of the UFC brightest welterweight prospects, currently on a five fight win streak. In his last bout Ellenberger knocked-out former welterweight title challenger, Jake Shields, in just 53 seconds in the very first round. Additionally, four of his fights in his current streak have ended via TKO/KO.
If Ellenberger continues his upward climb through the UFC's welterweight rankings, a meeting with Diaz would seem inevitable.
