Jason Brilz has agreed to face Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC 114, stepping in for the injured Forrest Griffin.
While bout agreements have not been signed, MMAJunkie reports that verbal agreements have been made, and contracts should be completed shortly.
Last night, Griffin was forced to withdraw from UFC 114 with a shoulder injury. With less than four weeks to go before the May 29 fight, the organization looked to find a replacement.
Brilz (18-2-1) currently sports a 3-1 record with the UFC, holding wins over Eric Schafer, Tim Boetsch and Brad Morris. His sole UFC loss came at the hands of Eliot Marshall at UFC 103. While his win over Morris was a knockout victory, all of his other Octagon fights have ended via decision, including the loss.
