After dropping two straight losses to opponents Michael Bisping and Kendall Grove respectively, Jason Day has been cut by the UFC. Day becomes the most recent fighter to be released by the organization joining veterans Josh Burkman and Akihiro Gono.
Day owns an outstanding record of 17-8 but was just 1-2 in the UFC. Impressively, sixteen of his seventeen victories came via stoppages. Day holds notable wins over Jonathan Goulet, David Loiseau, and Alan Belcher.
