Jason Miller scores date with Aaron Simpson at UFC 132
by Tim Groves on April 23, 2011

Middleweight Aaron Simpson (8-2) will welcome Jason Miller (24-7 1 NC) back into the Octagon at UFC 132, according to MMAJunkie.com.

UFC 132 is currently slated for July 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jason "Mayhem" Miller has made a name for himself outside of the cage with his television show "Bully Beatdown" and his crazy antics. After a one fight stint with the UFC in 2005, Miller left the promotion and fought over in Japan and stateside. He gained notoriety for his victories over Robbie Lawler and Tim Kennedy and his hard fought decision loss to Jake Shields. He will now return to the Octagon on the heels of a two fight win streak.

Looking to stop him will be former Arizona State wrestler Aaron Simpson. After starting his career 7-0, Simpson hit a road block. He dropped consecutive fights to Chris Leben and Mark Munoz. Simpson was on thin ice heading into his bout with Mario Miranda at UFC Fight Night 24. Simpson was able to control the fight with his wrestling and walked away with a victory.

UFC 132 will be headlined by a bantamweight title fight between Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber.

 |  (15) Comments Wandering_Minstrel: Good fight. Very winnable fight for either guy. The Hitman: WAR MAYHEM But this is a very interesting fight. Mayhem really needs to work his TDD hard. It was horrible against Shields. If he can stuff the TD he wins IMO. Miller by UD. Marker28: Aaron may be the sacrificial lamb to build up a Mayhem vs a #1 mw contender fight if Okami crumbles as expected. GO HARD: War Simpson flyangler: Should be a entertaining fight. I'll take Miller by armbar Rd 2 fingerssfv: Despite what some may think, Dana White knows just how good Jason Miller is, besides being the scapegoat with Showtime, CBS and Strikeforce, White found a place for Miller; The UFC. Miller is good enough to beat most Middleweights in any Organization, including the UFC. He's a freakishly crazy guy, but that is what makes Jason - Jason. If you've never seen his fights, you have been missing quite a show. This guy is very, very good at his Jiu Jitsu skills, besides his stand up and wrestling. And he's entertaining to watch. If you don't like him, you don't know him, so keep your opinion or response with others and off mine. thanks. Keith Mondaca: I actually think Aaron has tools to beat Mayhem. But I hope/think Mayhem will take it. No way that one win would get him title shot though.
