Coming on the heals of a win this weekend at Total Combat 33 against Ruben Dario, TUF 7 cast member Jesse "JT Money" Taylor announced that he will compete at next week's DREAM 10 against Korean Judoka Dong Sik-Yoon.
The announcement was made by Taylor through his personal website, but has yet to confirm the bout.
Jesse Taylor may be best known to fans for being the first person ever to reach The Ultimate Fighter finals but who didn't compete. He was booted from the finale for a drunken episode which occurred in a Las Vegas Casino. The UFC gave Taylor another chance but he was released from the promotion after making insensitive comments towards Quinton "Rampage" Jackson following Jackson's arrest last year.
Taylor has put together 6-straight wins since his release from the UFC, following a loss in his lone fight with the promotion against CB Dollaway. "JT Money" sports an 11-3 MMA record, with 4 wins by TKO and 4 by submission. He holds notable wins over the likes of UFC veteran Drew Fickett and Bellator veteran Jorge Ortiz.
Yoon dropped his last two bouts to Gegard Mousasi and Andrews Nakahara. Despite owning a sub-par MMA record of 4-6, he is considered a very dangerous opponent holding notable wins over the likes of Melvin Manhoef, Zelg Galesic, and Fabio Silva. All four of Yoon's career wins have been via stoppage.
DREAM 10 will take place on July 20 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, and will be televised live on HDNet.
The event will feature the semifinals and finals of the promotions welterweight tournament as well as a non-tournament bout between WAMMA lightweight champion Shinya Aoki and jiu-jitsu phenom Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro.
