Joe Rogan goes to the zoo
by Natalia Baage on September 17, 2009

UFC color commentator Joe Rogan missed last night's Ultimate Fight Night.  Instead, he was in Boston, filming a new movie.

"The Zookeeper" is a comedy starring Kevin James ("King of Queens," "Paul Blart: Mall Cop") as the title character.  James talks with the animals at the zoo about their love and mating habits, in attempt to learn something from them so that he can win the heart of the woman who broke his.

The film, directed by Frank Coraci (who also directed Adam Sandler's "The Waterboy" and "The Wedding Singer"), also features Rosario Dawson as a zoo vet, and Leslie Bibb as the woman who broken James' heart.

"The Zookeeper" contains voice overs done by many well-known celebrities, including Sandler, Sylvester Stallone, Jon Favreau, Judd Apatow, Cher, Jim Breuer, Faizon Love, and - most notably for UFC fans - Bas Rutten.

The film is slated for release in Oct. 2010.

Rogan will be back, commentating, for UFC 103 on Saturday, Sept. 19.
