Danny "Last Call" Castillo will meet John Cholish at UFC on Fox 3 while another lightweight scrap, Donald Cerrone vs. Yves Edwards, is set for UFC on FX 3 according to ufc.com.
Castillo (13-4) will look to build on his current two fight win streak, defeating Anthony Njokuani and Shamar Bailey. It was notable that Castillo took his fight with Njokuani on short notice at UFC 141 and slipped away with a split decision win. Castillo is 5-1 over six fights, holding unanimous decision victories over Joe Stevenson and Dustin Poirier in that span.
Cholish (8-1) made a successful UFC debut at UFC 140 by scoring a second round TKO over Mitch Clarke. Cholish has not loss since losing his MMA debut 2007.
UFC on Fox 3 is set for May 5 at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Cerrone (17-4 (1 no contest)) was practically at the UFC's top contender's door step, riding a six fight win streak, but suffered a defeat in his last bout to Nate Diaz at UFC 141. Utilizing volume punching akin to his older brother, Diaz out-boxed Cerrone en route to a unanimous decision victory. Cerrone will look to regain some momentum as he takes on the "Thugjitsu Master."
Edwards (41-18-1) can ill afford another loss, last losing to Tony Ferguson via unanimous decision at the TUF finale 14. Edwards is currently 1-2 over his last three fights. His sole win comes from a second round TKO over Rafaello Oliveira at UFC Live: Cruz vs. Johnson.
UFC on FX 3 is set for May 15 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
