by Tim Groves on March 06, 2011

Johny Hendricks (9-1) has agreed to step in and replace Dennis Hallman in his fight against T.J. Waldburger (13-5) at UFC Fight Night 24, according to MMAJunkie.com.

The fight is scheduled for the un-aired preliminary portion of the event. The card takes place in Seattle, Washington on March 26th.

Hendricks steps in for Hallman, who injured his knee, after losing his first fight of his career. Hendricks was defeated via unanimous decision by Rick Story at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale. He came into that fight with a perfect 4-0 record inside the UFC, including TKO victories over Amir Sadollah and Charlie Brenneman

Meanwhile Waldburger will be making his second appearance inside the Octagon. He defeated David Mitchell via unanimous decision in his debut. Waldburger was previously scheduled to face Matt Riddle at UFC 124 but was forced to withdraw from that bout due to an injury.

UFC Fight Night 24 will be headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Phil Davis.
