With Jonathan Brookins forced out of his match up with Jeremy Stephens, Danny Downes has agreed to step in and replace him. The UFC announced the news earlier via Twitter.

The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale will take place on June 4 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Danny Downes enters the fight on a two fight win streak. The Duke Roufus product opened up his Zuffa career with a loss to Chris Horodecki at WEC 49. He then met Chinese lightweight Zhang Tie Quan at WEC 53, where he emerged victorious. Most recently Downes was given the green light to take a fight outside of the UFC banner, as he looked to gain experience. He was able to defeat Tory Bogguess, to improve his record to 8-1.

The always up-and-down Stephens seemed to have found his rhythm after he knocked off Justin Buchholz and Sam Stout in consecutive fights. He was then matched up with fellow heavy hitter Melvin Guillard. The two fought a competitive bout, but Stephens came up short losing via split decision. He rebounded on January 1st, when he knocked out Marcus Davis at UFC 125 in the third round.

The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale will feature the two finalists from this season of The Ultimate Fighter featuring Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos as coaches. Anthony Pettis will also take on Clay Guida at the event.
