Quick, someone lock Anderson Silva in a padded room.
In what ended up being a rough weekend for Brazilian UFC champions, both Jose Aldo and Junior dos Santos were involved in motor vehicle accidents.
Aldo, was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle through the streets of Copacabana on his way back home to Barrio do Flamengoto following his participation in a soccer tournament this past Saturday.
The 25-year-old phenom was blindsided by a car which turned a corner suddenly and struck Aldo's motorcycle.
While Aldo claims that the accident was nothing serious, there is some mild concern around the champs foot according to head trainer Dede Pederneiras.
"He had scratches on foot, thigh and knee," Pederneiras told Esporte UOL. "The foot is a little swollen, but not broken. This week he'll be resting and next week we will have a real sense of how it is."
The same day, miles away in Salvador, Aldo's Blackhouse teammate Junior dos Santos was involved in what appeared to be a "fender bender" which left his car damaged according to reports.
"The traffic in Salvador is scary," dos Santos tweeted. "They just hit my car and didn't even stop, continued on their way as if it was a normal situation. Please, let's be more conscious and respect other people. We gain nothing with violence and disrespect in traffic. Give passage and let things go peacefully... I will tell you that I want to be distant from a person like this. He/She has a bad energy."
