WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown will next defend his belt against rising superstar Jose Aldo at a yet unannounced WEC 45 on November 11 The location and venue has yet to be determined.
The news was first reported by Aldo himself on InTheGuard.tv and has since been confirmed by WEC General Manager Reed Harris.

Brown is coming off a successful second defense of his title as he recently defeated Urijah Faber at WEC 41 in June in a rematch from their previous bout in which Brown originally captured the title. Brown went on to defeat Leonard Garcia at WEC 39 in March in his first defense of the belt before rematching Faber. Overall, the American Top Team product has earned a 22-4 MMA record, with other notable wins over the likes of Mark Hominick, Yves Edwards and Jeff Curran.
Aldo extended his win streak to seven in his last fight as he recorded his third straight first-round stoppage by defeating Cub Swanson at WEC 41 in June in just 8 seconds into their bout.
He is also undefeated with a 5-0 record during his time in the WEC, with previous wins over Alexandre Franca Nogueira, Jonathan Brookins, Rolando Perez and Chris Mickle. The Nova Uniao holds a superb MMA record of 15-1, with an outstandng 10 wins by KO or TKO and 2 by submission.
