Josh Grispi talks upcoming opponent LC Davis
by Natalia Baage on April 27, 2010

Josh Grispi will soon make his comeback fight in the WEC as he takes on LC Davis at WEC 49 on June 20 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Grispi, who recently recovered from an ankle injury, has had a mix of wins throughout his career. Of his 13 victories, six have come via (T)KO, six via submission and one by decision. However, Davis' three fights with the WEC have all been won by decision. So what does Grispi expect from Davis during their fight?

"I expect to see quick hands," he told MMAFighting. "Definitely a lot of takedowns. A lot of work in the clinch. He's a lefty, I love fighting lefties. I think it's gonna be a great fight. He likes to try to grind a lot, and I try to end fights, so it should be an interesting match up."

However, in a past interview with FiveKnuckles.com, Davis explained that he wanted to finish fights, rather than letting them go to the judges.

"I've always thought of myself as a finisher, but in 2009, I had four decisions," he said. "So I'm looking to finish fights. Now that I'm fighting tougher competition, guys aren't as easy to finish, so you're gonna have a few more decisions, but I'm definitely always looking to finish the fight."
