Josh Koscheck wants to fight at UFC 138 which is being held at San Jose, California as a middleweight according to his twitter.
Koscheck (15-5) has been out of the cage since his defeat to George St. Pierre at UFC 124. In that bout, Koscheck was thoroughly outpointed and suffered a broken orbital bone on the right side of his face after taking significant shots from St. Pierre.
Recovered and rested, Koscheck expressed his desires to fight in San Jose, where he trains at the American Kickboxing Academy, through his twitter.
"I did ask for my next fight to be Nov 19 in San Jose at 185 :)...FYI I only want 1 fight at 185 then back to WW. :) just something real fun for the fans," Koscheck twitted.
Possible match ups vary but two that stand out are bouts with Chris Leben or Stephan Bonnar. Koscheck and Leben have shown their distaste towards each other during the inaugural Ultimate Fighter which sparked a heated rivalry lasting throughout the season.
A fight with Bonnar is plausible as well, although it would require Bonnar to drop weight classes. Both men have butted heads recently which stemmed from Bonnar creating a T-shirt displaying a character with Koscheck's likeness, prompting Koscheck to sue him. Bonnar have stated his desire to fight Koscheck due to this disagreement.
It is currently unclear if the UFC would grant Koscheck's wish.
UFC 138 on November 19 in San Jose, California is headlined by a heavyweight title bout between Cain Velasquez defending his title against Junior dos Santos.
