Junie Browning vs. Scott Cornwell on Nov. 28
by Jason Benfari on October 14, 2009

Infamous TUF 8 alum, Junie Browning, will take on Scott Cornwell on Nov. 28 for MMA Big Shows: Onslaught. The recently released UFC problem child was arrested for verbally and physically assaulting three nurses before drawing the ire of the organization, which had stood by Browning through similar offenses in the past.

The release freed Browning to be picked up by MMA Big Shows promoter Jason Appleton.

"I've seen Junie fight in Louisville, KY, back in the day as an amateur and he always put on a hell of a show," said Appleton. Him and his brother were always fun to watch."

Browning (3-1) is coming off of a loss to Cole Miller at UFC Fight Night 18 back in April. The mercurial lightweight departs the UFC with a 1-1 record, having bested David Kaplan at the TUF 8 Finale four months prior to his loss against Miller.

Cornwell (1-0) is a Taekwon-Do fighter out of Hamilton, OH. He is coming off of a win in his MMA debut against Charles Cooper.

The event will take place at the Belterra Casino in Florence, Indiana.
