Junior dos Santos going for another knockout win against Cro Cop
by Jacob Camargo on July 25, 2009

“I train a lot of boxing — I like the striking a lot and I’ll go after another knockout. What I want is the knockout…. This guy is dangerous standing, but I’m going after the knockout, as always. With the opportunity, I’ll show my ground too…. I’m facing it as a very good opportunity in my life. Cro Cop is a guy that, if you talk about MMA, you know who he is. He’s very dangerous and famous, if not the most dangerous man in the MMA … this is an incredible opportunity….”

-Fast rising heavyweight prospect Junior dos Santos talks to Tatame.com about his plans to stand and trade against Pride and K-1 veteran, Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic at UFC 103 on September 12 in Dallas, Texas. "Cigano" has won his first two bouts inside the UFC against Fabricio Werdum and most recently Stefan Struve at UFC 95 in February. Both bouts were TKO finishes lasting less then two minutes.

Overall the Team Nogueira fighter sports a superb MMA record of 8-1, with 6 wins by TKO and 2 by submission. He suffered his lone career loss against Joaquim Ferreira in November of 2007.
