Karo Parisyan disses Strikeforce; hints at probable UFC return
by Jason Benfari on June 17, 2010

"Scott Coker says we had a coffee and things didn't work out? Bullshit. We didn't have coffee, we had lunch at the Beverly Wilshire. When I left, he was jumping up and down. He was so excited to sign me and all this stuff. He was very happy to sign me, and I was very happy to sign with them. They are the most unprofessional I ever seen in my life. Strikeforce is the most unprofessional organization. The networks run these shows, not the owners. No disrespect, they're great guys, but it's not for me. It's just not for me. They think different. Even if I fight for Strikeforce, and never fight for UFC again God forbid, they will never come near the UFC. The UFC is the most professional organization I've ever worked for in seven years. Dana [White] called me a few weeks ago, we talked, and he told me to get just one fight under my belt. Dana likes me, and I did a lot of stupid stuff man. I really went to left field and Dana got really pissed. I just got to pay them back. I made some mistakes, and I got to come back and just do it man." -Karo Parisyan

Former UFC welterweight Karo Parisyan recently sat down with our friends over at CagePotato.com to update fans on his situation.

Apparently, the highly talented, but equally trouble Parisyan has mended fences with UFC President Dana White and has assurances to return to the organization after getting a fight under his belt.

Parisyan recently raised the ire of White and fans around the world by pulling out of two of his past three fights with issues stemming from anxiety attacks.

The former top welterweight contender was originally diagnosed with an anxiety disorder after suffering an anxiety attack leading up to his fight against Ryo Chonan at UFC 78. Parisyan went on to win the contest, but subsequently suffered a controversial second round TKO against Thiago Alves

Parisyan then pulled out of a fight with Yoshiyuki Yoshida at UFC 88 the day before the match up citing back injuries.

He went on to earn a split-decision over Kim Dong-hyun at UFC 94 which was later changed to a no-contest after Parisyan tested positive for banned painkillers and was suspended for nine months.

The nail in the coffin for Parisyan's UFC career came 10-months later when he was set to make his return from suspension against Dustin Hazelett at UFC 106. Parisyan was released from the organization after again dropping out of the fight the day before it was scheduled.

Parisyan is currently set to face Brazilian Luis Dutra Jr. at Impact FC 1 in Australia.
