Following his recent UFC win in November, 6'6" middleweight Kendall Grove signed a new multi-fight contract with the promotion, and is looking to step back in the Octagon in early 2010, according to a report from Sherdog.com.

Grove got his start with the UFC as a cast member on the third season of The Ultimate Fighter reality series. He was a member of Team Ortiz on TUF 3, where he went a perfect 3-0 during the season, defeating Ross Pointon, Kalib Starnes, and then Ed Herman in the finals to win the middleweight tournament and the six-figure UFC contract.

Grove is coming off of a first-round submission win over Jake Rosholt at UFC 106 on Nov. 21. The win moved him to 3-1 in his last four bouts, with his lone loss coming in his previous bout against Ricardo Almeida at UFC 101 in August. Grove sports a 6-3 record in nine fights with the UFC, scoring other notable Octagon wins over Alan Belcher, Jason Day and the late Evan Tanner; while suffering his other UFC losses to Jorge Rivera and Patrick Cote.

Besides the UFC, Grove has competed for other notable promotions such as SuperBrawl, Total Combat, Rumble on the Rock and King of the Cage. He has put together a 11-6 MMA record over his six-year professional career. Grove has scored stoppages in nine of his 11 career wins including seven coming by submission.

"Da Spyder," along with former UFC fighters Troy Mandaloniz and Justin McCully, have their own gym named the I & I Training Center in Grove's hometown of Wailuku, Maui.
