"Seth needs to be careful now because we both live in the same backyard, and I know that little sissy ice cream shop (he owns), I can walk in at any given time and go, 'Yo, what's up, man'. No one ever approached me with no rematch with Seth, and I never turned that [expletive] down. That right there is B.S. bull [expletive]. ... It didn't happen. If Seth signed with the UFC, and if Dana (White) and them want to match it up, damn right I'll run it again with him. We don't even need to do it in a ring. We can do it bare-knuckle style because I don't like liars. I've never turned down a rematch with anybody. Anyone I fought, I'll fight them again. It ain't personal. It's just the fact that it's bull [expletive]. No one ever said, 'Hey Kimbo, do you want to rematch Seth?' and I was like, 'No.' I've never said no to nothing. Not like that. Not to him. I'm thinking I've got no reason to shut up this guy because he hasn't been talking [expletive]. But since you're the first one that's told me that this man has posted up something saying that I've denied a rematch with him three times - come on, man. Are you for real?" -Kimbo Slice
Kimbo Slice responds to a questions from our friends over at MMAJunkie.com at a recent conference call to promote Spike TV's third episode of their tenth installment of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality show. The show airs Wednesday and is expected to be the single highest rated episode in the history of the long running series.
The season, fueled in large part by the addition of the immensely popular, Slice, premiered Sept. 16 to a record 4.1 million viewers.
Slice (3-1) fought all four of his professional bouts under the now defunct EliteXC banner. He rose to prominance fighting in backyard's and alley's with his fights eventually recieving millions of hits on youtube and earning him spreads in magazines like "Rolling Stone".
Slice steamrolled his way to an undefeated 3-0 professional record before famously being knocked out in the first round by former UFC journeyman and TUF 2 alum, Seth Petruzelli.
EliteXC closed down shop not long after the fight and Petruzelli claimed that both had been offered big money from other promotions for a rematch with Slice. The journeyman claims that he accepted the offer, but that Slice turned it down three times.
In any event, a rematch would appear to be in order sometime down the road should Slice stick in the UFC.
