"I was thinking about becoming a boxer at the time.  Just straight up one-dimension.  Five-dimension is cool, learning everything [with] mixed martial arts.  But boxing - I got a love for that.  To just stand there and throw hands, I do that well.  I see shit coming, I can avoid it.  And I can take a punch.  Mixed martial arts, it's a little bit harder because you gotta learn a whole lot of shit in mixed marital arts.  The grappling, take down, take down defense, jiu-jitsu, muay thai, thai boxing, taekwon-do.  You know, you gotta learn all that.  And also, boxing is a passion of mine because cos it's a little bit easier.  Mixed martial arts is a little bit harder.  But the whole transition of becoming a mixed martial artist, for me, just took a lot of sacrifice and dedication and commitment, and that's the reason why I'm here right now.  Because I put all my time and energy into mixed martial arts."  -- Kimbo Slice

Kimbo Slice expects to be an MMA fighter for many years to come.  In an interview with Fanhouse.com, he said that he is enjoying the movement and wants to continue.

Since boxing was his first love, he still thinks of becoming a boxer at some point in his future career.  However, Slice said that it would be hard for him to be a boxer after being an MMA fighter because of the differences in the two sports.  Slice said that he would still have the passion to throw an elbow or a knee in the middle of a boxing match, which, of course, is illegal.

Even though Slice is in the midst of an infamous MMA career, he still has a dream fight that he would love to make happen.

"My dream fight was always against Mike Tyson," he said.  "Whether he would have knocked me the fuck out or I'd have knocked him out.  That was just a a dream fight.  I would have loved to fight Mike at the time, because he was just a real good role model for me."
