Undefeated, rising prospect Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal will likely make his Strikeforce debut against contender Mike Whitehead in a light-heavyweight bout slated for the main card of Strikeforce: "Evolution" in December.

News of the bout was revealed by Lawal himself, who hinted the match up in a post on his official Twitter account.

"King Mo vs....Put it like this....Its a type of pimple!!! Ima bust it tho!!!," Lawal wrote.

The 28-year-old former NCAA Division I All-American wrestling champion is versatile and can fight in multiple divisions, as he has competed twice at light-heavyweight and three times at heavyweight in his five career fights.

The MMA world started to take notice of Lawal this past year, after he impressively won the first four bouts of his young career while competing for World Victory Road's "Sengoku" promotion in Japan. He scored TKO stoppages in his first three wins over Yukiya Naito, Fabio Silva and Travis Wiuff, while his fourth win came via unanimous decision against Ryo Kawamura.

Lawal, who signed with Strikeforce last month, most recently moved his undefeated professional mark to 5-0 by defeating UFC veteran Mark Kerr via first round TKO in his U.S. debut at M-1 "Breakthrough" in August.

Whitehead (24-6) is coming off of a win over Kevin Randleman at Strikeforce: "Lawler vs. Shields" in June and is now 15-1 in his last 16 bouts. The lone blemish over this impressive streak came against Renato Sobral at Affliction: "Banned" in July.

Over his eight-year career, Whitehead has competed for various notable promotions such as Extreme Challenge, SuperBrawl, Rage in the Cage, HOOKnSHOOT, IFL, WEC and UFC. He has finished 18 of his 24 career wins and holds notable victories over the likes of Ben Rothwell, Travis Fulton, Vernon White, Mark Kerr and Krzysztof Soszynski.

Strikeforce: "Evolution" takes place on Dec. 19 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., and is headlined by a middleweight clash between sluggers Cung Le and Scott Smith.

In addition, middleweights Matt Lindland and Ronald "Jacare" Souza will battle it out and former EliteXC middleweight champion Robbie Lawler will also compete on the card against an as of yet unnamed opponent.
