"Obviously, Fedor has a few tough fights on the radar with Fabricio (Werdum) and (Alistair) Overeem. He has his hands full right there. I just have to do my thing and keep winning. If he keeps winning, and I keep winning, (a fight with Fedor) could happen. [Emelianenko] has got two tough fights in front of him. Fabricio is no joke. I could see Fabricio beating him, and I could see Overeem beating him. Anybody can be beaten at any given time. You've just got to be prepared. [Emelianenko] is only fighting once or twice a year. He looks good, but you can't expect to improve that much when you're fighting once or twice a year." -Muhammad "King Mo" Lawal
Undefeated light-heavyweight prospect Muhammad "King Mo" Lawal talks to MMAJunkie Radio about the possibility of eventually facing world consensus number one heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko. Emelianenko is virtually undefeated and has fought and defeated the best fighters of his generation. Lawel, however, like many fans of the sport, seems to believe that Emelianenko isn't active enough and that it may cost him.
Before garnering a scrap with the world's best heavyweight however, Lawal (5-0), considered one of the sports preimer light-heavyweight prospects, will have to set his sights a bit lower when he takes on Mike Whitehead at Strikeforce: Evolution on Dec. 19.
