Kyle Bradley vs. Rafael dos Anjos possible for UFC Fight Night 20
by Jacob Camargo on October 21, 2009

A lightweight bout between Kyle Bradley (14-6) and Rafael dos Anjos (12-4) is being targeted for the unaired preliminary portion of the UFC Fight Night 20 card in January. Bout agreements are in the process of being finalized, according to a report from MMAjunkie.com.

Bradley's UFC career got off to a rough start, suffering back-to-back TKO losses in his first two bouts inside the Octagon against Chris Lytle and Joe Lauzon. With his UFC job on the line, he rebounded and picked up his first UFC win against TUF 8 lightweight runner-up Phillipe Nover at UFC 98 in May.

Bradley has not fought since the win over Nover in May, as he was slated to face Sam Stout at August's UFN 19. However, he was forced out of the event with an injury. Prior to entering the UFC, Bradley was on a seven-fight winning streak, with six of those wins coming by stoppage. The Team Voodoo fighter has finished all but one of his 14 career wins, including nine coming by TKO or KO.

Dos Anjos' start to his UFC career did not go too well either, as he dropped his first two UFC contests against Jeremy Stephens and Tyson Griffin. He finally picked up his first UFC win in his third appearance in the Octagon by scoring a unanimous decision victory over Rob Emerson in his last bout at UFC 103 last month.

Dos Anjos entered the UFC on a very impressive nine-fight winning streak, with six wins coming via submission. A very skilled grappler, dos Anjos is a member of the Gracie Fusion Team in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, and has fought for notable promotions around the world such as Xtreme Fighting Championships, Pancrese, Shooto and Fury FC.

UFC Fight Night 20 takes place on Jan. 11, most likely at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA, and the event's main card will air live on Spike TV. The event will be headlined by a very pivotal lightweight battle between former TUF winner Nate Diaz and fellow TUF 5 alum Gray Maynard.
