A bantamweight bout has been added to WEC 41's preliminary card as recent signee Kyle Dietz will take on long time WEC veteran Charlie Valencia. MMAJunkie.com was the first to report the news.
WEC 41 takes place on June 7th in Sacramento, California and the main event features a featherweight title bout between UFC featherweight champ Mike Brown and former title-holder Urijah Faber.
Kyle Dietz, who recently signed a 6-fiight contract with the WEC, has been idle since defeating Steven Vuser at Extreme Challenge 100 in June 2008. Dietz sports a undefeated 5-0 MMA record, with four of the wins being first-round stoppages.
Charlie Valencia is currently 3-3 with the WEC and he last fought at WEC 38 back in January, where he defeated Seth Dikun by unanimous-decision. Prior to his WEC 38 win, Valencia suffered back-to-back losses to Yoshiro Maeda and Dominick Cruz.
