Light-heavyweight prospects Kyle Kingsbury and Razak Al-Hassan look to rebound from recent losses they've suffered when they face each other at UFC 104. MMAWeekly.com was the first to report this fight and FiveKnuckles.com confirms the agreements have been signed.
This fight was originally supposed to happen at UFC 102, however, it was moved due to an elbow injury Al-Hassan suffered against Steve Cantwell at UFN 16. Al-Hassan's right elbow was dislocated after he refused to tap from Cantwell's deep arm bar. He now sports a 6-1 MMA record, with five wins by stoppage.
Kingsbury has lost his last two bouts, with his most recent coming in his UFC debut against Tom Lawlor at the TUF 8 finale. Kingsbury currently owns an outstanding 7-2 record and was a castmember on the Ultimate Fighter season 8. He was first defeated and sent home by the eventual season winner Ryan Bader in the elimination bouts, however, with two fighters injured Kingsbury was called back and picked to be on Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira's team. He would go on to lose to Krzysztof Soszynski in the first round of fights.
UFC 104 takes place October 24 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The event will be headlined by a light-heavyweight title bout between current undefeated champion Lyoto Machida and top-contender Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.
