by Jacob Camargo on August 30, 2009

Featherweights Diego Nunes and L.C. Davis will look to remain unbeaten in the WEC when they face each other at WEC 44 in November, according to MMAjunkie.com.

Davis (14-2) is coming off a successful WEC debut as he defeated Javier Vazquez at WEC 42 earlier this month and is 5-1 in his last six bouts. His lone loss during the stretch came in his previous bout against Michihiro Omigawa at Sengoku 7 in March. Davis has fought for such promotions during his career as Affliction, IFL, Adrenaline MMA and Titan Fighting Championship. He has finished 11 of his 14 career wins and he holds notable wins over the likes of Conor Heun, Rafael Dias and Bao Quach.

Nunes was also victorious at WEC 42 as he defeated Rafael Dias on the August 9 event. He previously defeated Cole Province in his WEC debut last December at WEC 37. The Shooto veteran sports an undefeated 13-0 MMA record, with 5 wins coming by TKO or KO and 6 by submission.

Though not officially announced yet, WEC takes place on November 11, with the location yet to be determined. The event will be headlined by WEC featherweight title bout between current featherweight champion Mike Brown and top contender, Jose Aldo.
