Making his UFC debut in the prime of one of the most successful 170lb. careers in all of mixed martial arts, Jake Shields will take on "The Hitman" Martin Kampmann in a bout that will produce the number one contender in the division. This card also features the come back of Tito Ortiz as he takes on the powerful Matt Hamill. Looking to go from prospect to contender, Brendan Schaub will take on the challenge of Gabriel Gonzaga. Also, Diego Sanchez will be looking to get back on track as a welterweight against the tough and dangerous Paulo Thiago. UFC 121 ROUND BY ROUND COVERAGE

Brendan Schaub vs. Gabriel Gonzaga

round 1- The main card action begins with Schaub circling then he lands a combination while Gonazaga scores with a leg kick. Schuab then catches a kick and finds the chin of Gonzaga with a right hand. Schaub follows a left jab with a right to the temple. Gonzaga misses with a high kick but lands a solid leg kick then looks for a takedown but Schaub stuffs it. Shaub lands half of another 4-punch combination. Another Gonzaga high kick is blocked by Schaub and Schaub lands a hard right that wobbles Napao. Schaub smells blood and swarms, landing some solid shots and drops Gonzaga with a hard right but the round ends before he can finish him. 10-9 Schaub.

round 2- Schaub continues to score with the jab but Gonzaga lands another hard leg kick. Gonzaga attempts a single leg but Schaub won't have it. Schaub lands a right and Gonzaga goes down but might have slipped. He gets back to his feet but only to eat a few more Schaub fists. Gonzaga with another hard leg kick but...
