Welcome to FiveKnuckles.com live, blow-by-blow coverage of UFC 125: “Resolution” presented by Yahoo UFC PPV.

Tonight's card is coming to you live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and features lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, as he puts his title on the line against the powerful Gray Maynard. In the co-main event, Chris Leben will take on Brian Stann in a middleweight bout.

UFC 125 QUICK RESULTS:

Antonio McKee vs. Jacob Volkmann - Volkmann wins by split decision
Daniel Roberts vs. Greg Soto - Roberts wins by submission (kimura) at 3:45 of round 1.
Mike Brown vs. Diego Nunes - Nunes wins by split decision.
Phil Baroni vs. Brad Tavares - Tavares wins by KO (punches) at 4:20 of round 1.
Josh Grispi vs. Dustin Poirier - Poirier wins by unanimous decision.
Marcus Davis vs. Jeremy Stephens - Stephens wins by KO (punch) at 2:33 of round 3.
Clay Guida vs. Takanori Gomi - Guida wins by submission (guillotine)at 4:22 of round 2.
Nate Diaz vs. Dong Hyun Kim - Kim wins by unanimous decision.
Brandon Vera vs. Thiago Silva - Silva wins by unanimous decision.
Chris Leben vs. Brian Stann - Stann wins by TKO at 3:37 of round 1.
Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard - The fight is scored a draw 48-46, 46-48, 47-47.

UFC 125 Main Card Round by Round:

Clay Guida vs. Takanori Gomi

round 1- Guida is jumping around like he's in a mosh pit and a minute and a half in, he lands a head kick then a 2 punch combination but Gomi shakes it off well. Guida shoots and gets a takedown but a nice Gomi scramble frees him immediately. Gomi is still patient but throwing an occasional bomb. Guida is still bouncing, bobbing, and weaving then he lands another head kick and a takedown. This time he's in Gomi's guard and he's scoring. Guida tries to pass but Gomi locks in half guard as the round ends. FiveKnuckles scores it 10-9 for Guida.

round 2- Guida comes out with similar movement but this time Gomi catches him early with  short right. Guida shoots and gets a single leg but can't reel it in and Gomi gets to his feet. With 2:30 remaining Guida lands a high kick then a solid right. Gomi fans on a left hook and Guida comes back with a left-right. Gomi lands a knee but Guida takes him down again and is in search of an arm triangle. Guida lands a few elbows then locks up Gomi's head in a guillotine and it's tight. He cinches it down and arches his back and it's over.

final result:  Guida wins by submission (guillotine choke) at 4:22 of round 2.

round 1- Kim lands a strong leg kick right away...
