Alexander Gustafsson (11-1) will face Vladimir Matyushenko (25-5) at UFC 133, according to MMAJunkie.com.
UFC 133 is currently scheduled for August 6 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Gustafsson is 3-1 in the UFC, making him one of the hottest prospects in the light heavyweight division. After steamrolling Jared Hamman in his UFC debut, Gustafsson was matched up with fellow prospect Phil Davis. Davis' NCAA champion wrestling proved too much as he was able to defeat the Swede. Gustafsson immediately searched for Davis, in hopes that the two could train together. The two hooked up and Gustafsson has been training out of Alliance MMA ever since. He has won two straight now, both impressive submissions over Cyrille Diabate and James Te-Huna.
A grinding wrestler, Matyushenko is coming off one of the best victories of his entire career. At UFC 129 "The Janitor" faced off against Jason Brilz. What many predicted to be a slow, plodding wrestling match instead turned into a 20 second knockout victory for Matyushenko. It was his second straight win after being defeated by Jon Jones. Prior to the Jones loss he was 2-0 in the UFC.
UFC 133 is currently headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between Rashad Evans and Phil Davis.
