The WEC has recently bolstered its ever-growing lightweight division with the signing of ProElite veteran Muhsin Corbbrey to an exclusive five-fight contract. News of the signing comes via the Savannah Morning News.
The signing off Corbbrey adds depth to the WEC's lightweight division, which already includes fighters such as Jamie Varner, Donald Cerrone, Ben Henderson, Shane Roller, Ricardo Lamas, Danny Castillo, Rob McCullough and Anthony Njokuani.
Corbbrey hasn't fought since losing to UFC and Strikeforce veteran Nick Diaz at EliteXC: "Return of the King" last June. Prior to that loss, he had won three straight over Jeff Williams, Lee Gibson and Bobby McMaster respectively. Corbbrey currently holds an 8-3 overall MMA record with 6 wins by submission and 1 by KO.
The Savannah, Georgia native is also a professional kickboxer and boxer as well. Corbbrey has put together a 9-1 record in Muay Thai and a 6-2-1 professional boxing record.
