Strikeforce has bolstered it's stacked lightweight division with the signing of rising prospect Bryan Travers. Financial terms were not disclosed, however, deal will span five fights.

News of the Strikeforce signing was first reported by MMAjunkie.com via Travers' manager, Gary Ibarra. According to the report, Travers is aiming to make his debut with Strikeforce in November.

Travers has won his last six bouts, which include wins over Strikeforce veteran Jeremiah Metcalf, IFL veteran John Gunderson, and most recently Tom Belt at War Gods 5 in May. He hasn't lost since suffering his first career defeat at the hands of UFC veteran Nate Loughran in an October 2006 Gladiator Challenge event.

The longtime Gladiator Challenge and Palace Fighting Championship veteran has been competing professionally for 4 years, putting together a near flawless record of 13-1. Out of his thirteen career wins, 4 have been finished by submission and 3 by TKO or KO and he holds a notable career win over former Strikeforce light-heavyweight title contender Anthony Ruiz.
