M-1: "Breakthrough" is officially set to go down as all 24 participants competing on today's fight card weighed-in on Thursday.
The event will take place tonight, August 28, from the Historic Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas and air live on HDNet beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
M-1: "Breakthrough" is headlined by a heavyweight bout between rising prospect Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal and veteran Mark Kerr. Lawal weighed in at a very light 219 pounds, while Kerr came in nearly sixty pounds heavier at 263 pounds.
The event will also feature a exhibition sparring match between top ranked heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi. Both men weren't required to weigh-in.
Incidents of note at yesterday's weigh-in festivities include undercard fighter Ferrid Kheder coming in at 159 lbs thus missing weight for his lightweight bout against Daisuke Nakamura. The bout will now be contested at a catchweight of 159 lbs and Nakamura will receive 10 percent of Kheder's purse. Due to visa issues, Rogent Lloret missed yesterday's weigh ins but he will be able to weigh-in today. The bout between Andria Caplan and Mollie Ahlers-Estes has been changed from 150 pounds to a catchweight of 155 and changed from pro status to amateur status.
