MMA Legend and Pioneer Looking to Make a Summer Return
by Gavin Vincent on March 26, 2009

MMA legend Pat Miletich recently expressed his desire to get back into mixed martial arts and compete once again. During an episode of ESPN's MMA Live, Miletich mentioned a possible summer return and promised to fight a big name guy.

"I'm in negotiations with a couple different organizations right now," Miletich said. "I think I'll be fighting this summer, a big name guy, and it will definitely be on TV. It'll be exciting."

When news came Ken Shamrock's way, Shamrock had this to say:

"I thought he was retired," Shamrock said. "Well, tell him if he wants some to come and get it."

The last time Miletich saw action was in December of 2008 against opponent Thomas Denny. Miletich was fighting for Adrenaline MMA at the time and won with a devastating knockout.

Miletich has spent his time away from competition as the coach of the Silverbacks for the IFL.
